Every entry has a unique prize number that corresponds to the entrant and the promotion from which the entry came. The entry deadline is the date by which the prize number for an entry is due. Most prize promotions last for 4-8 weeks and have an entry deadline within that timeframe.
What is Publishers Clearing House (PCH)?
Opinions in comments that appear in this blog belong to the individuals who expressed them. They do not belong to or represent views of the Federal Trade Commission. PCH doesn't contact winners of prizes worth more than a couple of hundred dollars by email, bulk mail, or telephone. You might enjoy taking that chance — after all, it costs you nothing and the sliver of a chance of hitting a jackpot might be worth the short time it takes to fill out the entry form — but the best sweepstakes to enter are not as well-known. Two suspects contacted a woman claiming she had won a multi-million prize and three cars - but had to pay the taxes on her winnings up front.
What If I’m Not Home When the PCH Prize Patrol Shows Up?
If you purchase a product or register for an account through a link on our site, we may receive compensation. As was mentioned a moment ago, Publishers Clearing House doesn’t just deal in magazine subscriptions but has expanded into a plethora of different product categories for our fans to enjoy. The expansion into these different areas began in 1967 when PCH launched its first sweepstakes as a means to attract attention to different magazine subscriptions. Obviously, the sweepstakes was a hit and went on to become an integral part of the PCH brand. One of the easiest ways to bank additional daily entries into PCH sweepstakes is by downloading the PCH App and entering through your mobile phone or tablet. It states clearly no purchase necessary to win and a purchase will not increase your chance of winning.

Mystery shopping, (fake) checks, and gift cards
The We’Re Group received a 20-year deal on property taxes, in addition to a sales tax exemption of up to $1.4 million for construction materials and equipment to upgrade 300 Jericho Quadrangle. Publishers also received a sales tax exemption of up to $1.6 million on its purchases of equipment for the site. Publishers Clearing House, the Jericho-based sweepstakes and magazine subscription company, plans to lay off 156 workers at its headquarters starting in July, according to a state filing. Just check out all of the 2021 PCH winners on our YouTube channel.
For example, a giveaway offering a $20,000 prize could be promoted as $20,000 Cash or a New Pick Up Truck ($19,999 MSRP). We keep track of what prizes were offered in each different promotion. When a winner is selected, we will offer the prize promoted to the winning entry, as set forth in the Official Rules.
A prize number is a 12-digit number assigned to an entrant and a prize promotion. A giveaway number identifies the prize promotional pool into which entries will be submitted. Throughout the life of a giveaway, you may submit many entries, and each one of them will have a new, unique prize number. But, the giveaway itself will always have the same number, because the number functions as its name. Additionally, money was transferred to separate accounts for businesses that Akeem Lee and Majda Hodzic-Lee own, such as Oxi Nation, a trucking company, and European Sparkle, a cleaning company. WARN, the state Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, requires that companies with 50 full-time employees or more file a notice of a mass layoff or a closing 90 days in advance.

PCH Search and Win gives away prizes every few minutes, and PCH Games lets you win prizes and tokens just for playing online games. If you receive a win notification from Publishers Clearing House, ask yourself a few important questions. Does the sender's email really come from Publishers Clearing House? Check the email address, telephone numbers, and names to see if they look legitimate, then double-check them against the PCH information that's available online. At the beginning of a giveaway, we plan the amount of prizes and their value. Throughout the life of the giveaway, we may show different types of prizes that could be purchased by or funded by the dollar amount being offered.

While this is still true of Publishers Clearing House today, over the years, the company has grown into a world-famous brand that offers a multitude of products, contests, and entertainment services. Heading over to our main website at PCH.com, you can enter to win the PCH sweepstakes SuperPrize and our various other sweepstakes. While you’re there, you can access many of the other ways to gain additional online sweepstakes entries, such as playing the PCHLotto. Remember that you don't have to win a SuperPrize to benefit from PCH giveaways. Aside from their multi-million-dollar giveaways, Publishers Clearing House also offers several other drawings and many of them have better odds.

By definition, sweepstakes in the United States are advertisements or promotional devices by which items of value (prizes) are awarded to participating consumers by chance, with no purchase, consideration or entry fee required to enter or win. The company said the layoffs are due to the “winddown and eventual closure” of its commerce line of business. Direct marketing to consumers has been part of the business. Unless otherwise indicated in the Official Rules, our Giveaways are open to residents of the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Our collection of PCHgames is without a doubt the most diverse way to score tokens and collect additional entries into PCH sweepstakes. With PCHgames, you can play mahjongg, solitaire, word games, puzzles, pinball, and more to score tokens and prizes.
The giveaway end date is the last day when any entry will be accepted for the giveaway before it closes for the final drawing. The purpose of this blog and its comments section is to inform readers about Federal Trade Commission activity, and share information to help them avoid, report, and recover from fraud, scams, and bad business practices. To date, Publishers and its landlord have received more than $4.6 million in property tax breaks, according to figures from the New York State Authorities Budget Office. Publishers said the layoffs will not impact its sweepstakes, which have given out $593 million in prizes over the years. If you want to go really big, you can enter to win $1.25 million dollars for your dream home. Finally, you can also enter PCH sweepstakes via mail and email.
In fact, there are tons of different ways to collect entries to PCH sweepstakes every day, for free. Lottery is a promotional device that contains prizes, chance and consideration (a purchase or fee). Items of value (prizes) are awarded to members of the public by drawings (chance) but unlike Sweepstakes, lotteries require some form of payment or purchase (consideration) to participate.
Now that you know that PCH sweepstakes are legit, you should also know that you still be scammed if you're not cautious enough. Although PCH's sweepstakes are legitimate, you should be cautious if you receive a prize notification claiming to come from PCH. The Publisher's Clearing House name is often used by scammers, so the company is very clear and careful about how they notify their winners. Some people worry that because they know lots of people who have entered but no one who's ever won, the prizes aren't awarded and PCH sweepstakes are frauds. Others can't imagine how a company could legitimately give away such big prizes on a regular basis and still stay in business. But neither of these questions indicates that PCH is a scam.
The most common examples, of course, are the local state lotteries in which consumers must purchase an entry ticket for a chance to win. Lotteries are illegal except when conducted by states and certain exempt charitable organizations. If you believe you have received a solicitation in the guise of a sweepstakes which is an illegal lottery (requiring you to pay to enter), you should contact your local Post Office or consumer protection office. There are some good reasons to add PCH's giveaways to your daily sweepstakes routine. PCH offers truly life-changing prizes that are fun to dream about winning. And although the odds are extremely long, at least you don't have to pay to enter, like you must with lotteries.

When can we expect to see a refund of our money we spent over the years?? I have been buying and dealing with PCH for more than 20 years. I'm guessing that the money comes from the money they make off of the purchases they try to get everybody to make. I suspect that's the reason they seem so hard pressed to sell all that stuff.
